Careers at Queensway

As part of the parents' evenings on the 25th and 26th March we were supported by the Central Strategic Careers' Lead at Inspiration Trust, where we started to help children think early about their skills, how subjects relate to the world of work and how this can help them with future career paths using hands-on activities.

The children who took part were amazing, and it was so fantastic to see them interact with our activities and think about what skills they already had. By making the activities relatable to things outside of school, such as thinking about the traits and skills of characters from TV shows and movies, or using money skills to be able to budget for everything that you need.

The project was delivered in partnership with the Department for Work and Pensions who were on hand to support any parents who may have had queries about their own further training and employment.
